As a follow-up to its release the previous year marking the 1972 Summit Series, Future Trends produced a set celebrating the next big international hockey best-on-best event, the inaugural 1976 Canada Cup. Unfortunately, with the Best-of-Three Final played between Canada and unheralded Czechoslovakia (as opposed to the Soviet Union), the 1976 event lacked some of the drama of the Canada-USSR showdown four years prior. And with only five autographed cards, this set also seems lacking compared to its 36 autograph card predecessor. However, what this series lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. Following the belated induction of Rogie Vachon in 2016, all five players in this set are members of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
SET STATUS: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! (100 Percent Complete with 5 of 5 cards.)

Bobby Clarke

Bobby Hull

Bobby Orr

Darryl Sittler
