1994-95 UPPER DECK BE A PLAYER

AUTOGRAPHS CLICK ON THE CARDS BELOW FOR A SUPER-SIZED VIEW This 195-card set was released by Upper Deck in conjuction with the NHLPA, and not licensed by the NHL. Accordingly, these cards do not feature NHL team logos or nicknames. The inaugural BAP set is notable as the first "one certified autograph in every pack" product released. Reportedly, most players signed approximately 2,400 cards each. Players known to have signed fewer cards have the quantity noted below. Jiri Slegr (card 119) was not packed out and only made available later as a mail-in offer. Another oddity, at some point early in the signing process Viktor Kozlov (card 153) stopped signing his full name and began to offer only his initials. Both versions of his card are exhibited below. SET STATUS: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! (100 Percent Complete). The final two cards to complete this set -- 108 Wayne Gretzky and 115 Steve Yzerman -- were both purchased on July 9, 2014 and arrived on July 16 and 18, respectively. So very nice to have finally completed this set after almost two decades!
