This was an interesting set to build due to its unique distribution: 36 cards total released in three groups of 12 cards each found in the American Hobby, Canadian Hobby and Retail versions of the 1999-00 Be A Player Memorabilia (hence the name "Channel Specific"). In the pre-Internet era it would have been exceptionally difficult project, but thanks to eBay and trading groups it became a manageable task. The American Hobby version featured signed cards by Boston and NY Rangers players (six for each team). The Canadian Hobby version featured signed cards by Toronto and Montreal players (again, six for each team). And the Retail version featured signed cards by Chicago and Detroit players (and you guessed it: six for each team). These sets were among the first to feature autographed cards by Hockey Hall Of Famers and prominent alumni. SET STATUS: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! (100 Percent Complete)
